My Mission:
"Empower one person at a time to change their lives through education, honesty and hope."
What makes me the "Relatable Trainer?"
I've carried extra weight for most of my life, thinking it was just part of who I was. There were tough times - feeling frustrated, sometimes crying, and often feeling tired and lonely. But I also had moments where I accepted it and did my best with what I had. I tried lots of diets and programs, hoping for a breakthrough.

My first real experience with disappointment and frustration with myself and diets happened in Junior High. I went to the doctor, he said I was obese and needed to lose weight immediately. I, of course, knew this because because people had been telling me this for most of my life in one unkind way or another. He gave me a diet plan that seemed useless because it consisted of foods I already ate - fruits, veggies and meats. It made me feel stuck, like I couldn't win this battle. I kept trying different diets, however with very few successes and mostly disappointments.

About six years ago, I decided to try again, this time turning to YouTube for advice. I found a doctor's series on the science of fat loss. Even though I only understood some of it, it made a huge impact on me. What stuck with me was that this knowledge wasn't new; scientists had known it for a long time. This changed my perspective - no quick fixes, no secrets, just understanding how our bodies work.

I lost over 100 pounds with this new understanding, feeling more empowered than ever. Now, I'm focused on helping others find their strength and take control of their health with simple, science-based advice.
